Scheduled on 6th and 7th January 2022, the National Council Meeting (NCM) for NOSPlan (2021-22) was organized in a hybrid mode, i.e., both offline at NITTE University, Bengaluru, and online, via Google Meet.
NCM 2021-22 was spread over a period of two days, with the prime agendas being: – discussion on convention modes and dates, delegation fees discussion, discussion on event brief, number of delegates for convention, membership fees deadline, and discussion.
The first three agendas formed the subject matter for Day 1 (6th January 2022), with the tentative convention dates being finalised as 4th, 5th and 6th March 2022, as a fully offline event. The tentative delegation fees have been settled at Rs. 2600, however, the revisions to the same, as well as the final event brief would be confirmed in the pre-convention NCM. The last two agendas formed the topics of concern for Day 2 (7th January 2022). The membership fees were kept at Rs. 400 and the amount breakup was informed to all member colleges, while the discussion and finalization of a number of delegates from each institution would be done in the pre-convention NCM.
Day 2 concluded with an open discussion, wherein Mr. Abhishek Luke, Vice President, EC 2021-22 was handed over the charges of Acting President for the remaining tenure of the council, followed by proposing the formal setup of NOSPlan for the financial independence of the organization, drafts for which will be proposed soon, and preparation of a toolkit for student outreach to promote planning, which will be prepared by the EC and distributed to the Unit Councils. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the National Web Manager, Mr. Amanpreet Singh.
